It took me five years, countless hours of research, and hundreds of dollars to recover from chronic wrist tendonitis.
To my surprise, the first few doctors I saw all told me the same thing: go home, rest, ice, take ibuprofen, and come back if it gets worse.
One doctor ran a series of tests only to reach the same conclusion.
Meanwhile, wrist tendonitis pain slowly took over my life.
I tried everything I could find to get out of pain: rest, ice, compression, braces, massage, exercises, ergonomic equipment, cryotherapy, ice baths, and more.
But none of it worked for me. I was left in the same original position, except the pain was starting to get unbearable.
At the worst of it, I couldn’t cook, drive, do laundry, lift things, or even pet my dog without pain. I remember buying paper plates because I could no longer pick up real plates.
I was tired of suffering from tendonitis. I just wanted to use my hands freely again without enduring the annoying and unbearable pain that came from deep within my wrists and forearms.
So, I started researching much harder to find the solutions I needed.
I dove into medical journals and scientific studies on tendon physiology, treatment theories, and biology.
I studied the anatomy of the wrist and forearm, including the tendons, muscles, bones, and nerves involved.
I read hundreds of forum posts and blog articles from people who had successfully healed their tendonitis, looking for patterns in what worked and what didn't.
And I analyzed rehabilitation programs from physical therapists around the world, comparing treatment philosophies and testing theories on myself to see what would work.
I was determined to understand every detail of this condition so I could create a solution that not only worked for me, but that could also work for others in the future that were battling the same injury.
